Isabel Knowland (violin) was a Grade VIII gold medallist and went on to study violin and viola at the Royal Academy of Music. Since then she has played in many of the country’s leading orchestras and has often broadcast on BBC Radio 3 with her tango group, the Oxford Concert Party.
Amanda Lipman (violin) was a Grade VIII gold medallist and studied at the Royal Academy of Music and the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris. She has played with many of the leading orchestras in England and abroad. She currently freelances and teaches at the Elmhurst School for Dance in Birmingham.
Ellen Jackson (viola) After studying at the Royal Academy of Music, Ellen joined the BBC Midland Radio Orchestra and subsequently the BBC Radio Orchestra in London. She now pursues a busy freelance career both as an orchestral and chamber musician and a teacher.
Claire Sadler (cello) studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she won the Libotten Memorial Prize. She has played professionally ever since and is also an experienced teacher.
The quartet reserves the right to substitute players when necessary.
